Jorge Solares-Parkhurst is a Managing Director in the Financial Services Group of JMP Securities. During his 20+ year career, Jorge has completed over 200 investment banking transactions for a wide array of financial services clients, representing nearly $40 billion in transaction value. His transaction experience spans from M&A and restructuring advisory assignments to equity and debt financings (public and private).
Prior to joining JMP Securities in 2013, Jorge had been a Director in the Global Financial Institutions Group of Credit Suisse. Previously, he was with FBR and Bear Stearns, where he served as Managing Director and Senior Managing Director, respectively. Jorge began his career at PaineWebber, as part of its Financial Institutions Group, and remained with the firm, through its merger with UBS, for 8 years. At UBS, Jorge last served as a Director in the Americas Financial Institutions Group.
Jorge holds a BSFS degree in International Economics from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He is a native speaker of Spanish and also fluent in Portuguese. Jorge holds NASD Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 securities licenses.
